The boys relax under the shade of a 'shebang' made from a captured Federal Shelter half. These rickety structures could shelter more men than standard shelter halves and were especially useful as sun shades.

The Scalawags have also found them useful, when raised high enough, as shelters for the cookfire.Everything else gets soaked, but the fire stays hot !
