Hello! Thanks for visiting. Please don't expect many bells and whistles at this site - it is intended to help you through the minefield of getting married in Greece, primarily the paperwork side of it. Our motivation for creating this site is simply to try and help you avoid the conflicting advice given to us by various people which we had to fight our way through, some examples of which are:

Don't rely on the information in the brochure - we discovered after booking  about the need to have documents "legalised". Weeks later we received a letter from the travel company advising us of the need to do this (being a recent change in legislation).

The brochure stated that the translation costs were £34/document - my investigations revealed them to be £40/document.

The brochure stated that you were to send them copies of everything before departure - three separate enquiries to the travel agent/wedding hotline all said no need to do this !!

And so on & on !!!

We do not pretend to be a complete and exhaustive manual on the subject and you should consider our experiences in conjunction with advice given by relevant parties but hopefully our experiences will help you.

Our credentials for doing so are simply that we've been there, done it and all quite recently - we got married on the 11th of July 2000 at St. Paul's Bay, Lindos, Rhodes.

If you have found this site I imagine you are considering marrying in Greece - whatever your reasons for this are - please take our advice - do not be deterred by the paperwork - do it !!!!

If you have any comments or wish to discuss anything please feel free to mail us at the "contact us" link above.
