Steve gets Barry back on Tuesday 23rd March after Andy at Farnborough VW welds him up for an MOT, ready for the coming year!! :)
Russ takes Stella (65 Sunroof beetle) to Switzerland, YES Switzerland, snowboarding, only breaks dwon twice with some dirt in the fuel lines, Stella makes it there and back no worries, and two days after getting back, the clutch cable snaps on his way to work... bummer!!
Kerris bus gets an overhaul and passes the MOT.
Potts' bus is going in for a respray on the 20th March
First show of the year approaching, Volksworld Show, chance to catch up with a few other people who we haven't seen since Slough Swapmeet etc... roll on the season!!!

Clare and Daves bus passes the MOT (yipeeeee), but find out that the whel bearings have gone on the back (boooooo)
Kerri's bus fails MOT on steering and brakes. Steering box
reconditioned and brakes to be sorted soon to be ready for the new season.
Also, indicators ditched in favour of semaphores...
STOP PRESS......Celia buys a new bus!!!!! 62 23 window samba, slammed, empi sprintstar wheels, no interior, 2.0 ltr type 4 engine, very quick and hard looking too. Check out the club members pages for pics

Nick's new baywindow get slammed and a nice shiney set of BRM's, check out hte club members pages for updated pics.
Few club members slip off to Austria for a weekends snowboarding. Very good.

Christmas comes and goes, the club has their annual Christmas Curry at the Redfort in Overton (01256 770544) worth the plug as the place is fantastic. Over 20 people there, Clare and Dave showed us pictures of there bus as they've been working on it over the winter.

Jim is still waiting for his engine to come back from the engine builders. Fits new disc brakes to the rear of his bus.
Frans Type 3 goes in the garage for some major surgery.
Becky is thinking seriously about joining the VWDRC next year and drag racing the pink beach buggy. :)
Potts' has a new daily driver, so her bay window can come off the road for the winter, just need to find somewhere to put it.
Brian still hasn't done any welding.

The Brighton Breeze, lots of club members go, very cold at the racecourse, Dean breaks down due to carb linkage being out of balance, typical. Dean stumbles across his old Double door baywindow at the brighton show... having work done to it by no other than Paul 'Botch' Venners, the commentator from Santa Pod. Dean hasn't seen this bus in over 3 years.
Brian Strips the engine of his bay window to give it a good clean up, his bus is almost ready for welding!!

A few club members head off to VW Action at the new venue (cant remember where it is).
Club members got to Vanfest, for the day and some overnight. Great weather as usually it rains!!

Dean and Becky have their usual party in honour of Russells birthday, very mad, very late, very loud and only one person complained about the noise.
On the same day as Dean and Becky party, Nick get married!!!, we tried to get him to come to the party but he had to have his reception!!

The club heads off to Bug Jam, good turnout from the club, had a club camping area. Babes with attitude is created.
Dean gets his new engine fitted in time for Bug Jam, and fitted new King & Link pins on the Friday afternoon before leaving to go to Bug Jam!!!
Jims engine plays up and discovers it needs to be recovered home. Late decides to have full fueld injection and ECU and EMS, enabling him to run full boost on the turbo and possibly do a sub 15 sec quarter on the drag strip.
James and Fran buy a Razor Edge!!!, RHD with an electric sunroof, not many of these left I can tell ya.
