RADAR DETECTOR

Your Nokia cell phone can be programmed to pick up radar speed traps, when programmed your cell phone picks up the radar and
alerts you on the message alert tone. ( Doesn`t work with Nokia 7110! )

1. Enter your menu
2. Select settings
3. Select security settings
4. Select closed user group
5. Select on
6. Enter 00000
7. Press ok
8. Clear back to normal, within a few seconds your phone will display a radar sign with five zero's next to it. It is now
activated.

Unfortunately only Nokia phones have this function. Cell info display needs to be de-activated. Settings -> Phone Settings
-> Cell Info display
Each time you turn off your phone, or even each time you loose contact with your carrier, you´ll have to activate it again...
It is done by steps 1 through 5, but the number (00000) will be already on the field as default.

You don't need the warranty-codes any more - you can just scroll through the information like in any other menu. It has the
the same data as 81xx and 31xx phones (with "Edit" button for purchase date, and "User data transfer").

Menu:
1: Displays Serial Number.
2: Displays the Month and Year of Manufacture (0997)
3: Displays (if there) the date where the phone was purchased (MMYY) you can here set the Purchasing Date (Warning: You can
only do this once - so be careful what you write...)
4: Displays the date of the last repairment - if found (0000)
6: The option is for transferring ALL the telephone data (from the memory) to a "box" so that the technician can fiddle with
the phone without worrying about the data stored on it. Stuff stored on the SIM is not transferred, but who delivers their
phone with the SIM? :)

Change Alpha Tag
The alpha tag is the message that is displayed on your phone when in digital coverage. This is normally transmitted by the
network, but can be overidden to display a different tag. This is done by creating a tag for a personal/residential zone in
the phone, and setting this zone to have the same settings as your normal carrier. So when the phone identifies the network
system it believes it is in the personal/residential zone and displays the tag you have programmed.
1) Enter programming mode of the phone by keying *3001#12345#
2) Find out the ID of your operator by entering the NAM1 menu. Note the Home System ID setting. (16387 on Rogers AT&T in Calgary)

3) Scroll to and enter PSID/RSID lists (menu 7)
4) Select P/RSID 1
5) Scroll to PSID/RSID and change the setting to 1
6) Scroll to Connected system ID and change the setting to the ID of your system (eg 16387)
7) Scroll to Alpha Tag and enter the message you would like displayed.
8) Scroll to Operator code (SOC) and enter coed for your provider such as 2050 for Rogers or 2049 for AT&T
9) Scroll to Country code and enter 302 for Rogers or 310 for AT&T
10) Power cycle your phone and hopefully your message will be displayed
Note: This has only been tested in Calgary on the Rogers AT&T network so may not work on other networks.

Sid.exe [13 kb]
Forgotten your security code? Type in the IMEI code (*#06#) and get the security code. Works with most Nokia cellular phones. But remember if you got a a IMEI number that ends with something different from '0' you got to replace this with a '0' when typing it into the sid.exe program to get the right code.

newnokiatool.zip [6 kb]
Just connect your NOKIA with M2BUS cable and turn on your phone. Click READ ME. On the bottom of program screen there are four locks. Just click on it to open it (witch are closed). This works with version 5.26, 5.27. With versions 5.28 and 5.31 you have to brick together pin 6 and 7 on the EEPROM 24c16. First connect cable with phone. Turn it on. Click READ ME. Connect together scl and test (pin 6 and 7). Phone must be all the time turned on. Again click READ ME. Maybe you'll get some strange IMEI. Never mind that. Click button CLOSED 5 times. Don't hurry. You must open your phone to do this, but first try with procedure for v 5.26 and 5.27. Do not connect any pins of EEPROM with GND. That will cause CONTACT SERVICE on phone display,...and you can send it to Finland :)) Remember.....phone must be all the time after you connect M2BUS turned on !!!!

Service Provider and Sim Locks Mobile Home

There are 9 Lock codes that apply to your phone and SIM card.

Locks on your SIM Card
Your SIM card has 4 codes PIN 1 and PIN 2 are four to 8 didgits and are user set (you can change them). the main use for PIN
1 is to protect your phone from being used after it has been stolen. after pin 1 is enabled the handset will ask for it every
time the phone is powered up. PIN 2 is for setting restricted use For example if you issued your company staff phones you
could lock the phones to only be able to dial 10 numbers or numbers less than 10 didgits long. PUK 1 and 2 are the master
codes for PIN 1 and 2. These are factory set and can not be changed. PUK codes are available from your network or service
provider.

Locks on your Phone
There are two "lock codes" on your phone a 4 to 10 didgit user set lock code and a 10 didgit master code. The lock code can
lock your phone so it asks for the code at power on and also lock to your SIM. If you set the phone to lock to the SIM the
phone will only accept your SIM enless you enter the code. The master code can be obtained from nokia in the UK by faxing
the imie number to them with your name address and a return fax number. Be warned the faxes are often unreadable. Tampering
with the internals of the phone sometimes will lock your phone permenantly!!!!!!.

Service Provider Locks
These are the holy grail of codes. Orange, One2One and Virgin Lock all there phones to only accept there respective SIM cards.
This code is an algorythm of the phones imie and the network ID 234-NN for uk networks. The 234 is the UK and The NN is 15
for Vodafone and the others see on the Service Provider Code List.
