  • The Location

Marina is a town on the N332. This is the old coastal route running, along the Costa Blanca, in the south-east of Spain, on the Mediterranean 'White' coast.

The Town is 30 minutes drive south-west bound from Alicante Airport. About 7 miles beyond Santa Pola. (Maps)

Urbanisation:

La Marina (the Village) is built within a natural amphitheatre, on a hillside, 1 mile up from the main town and within two miles of a long curving, traditionally Spanish beach.

Resources:

La Marina is a self-contained village with Supermarkets, Banks, Bars, Restaurants, Clubs, Public pools and parks. A major benefit of La Marina is that it is an entirely residential area.

The Beach:

The beach is maintained by the local council and is clean and safe for bathing. There are a few bars and restaurants but it is a family beach equally popular with the Spanish as it is with tourists.

There is easy access and free parking on the beach edge. There is also a wooded area behind the beach. This is ideal for picnics and shaded walks.

Community:

The above features set La Marina apart from many tourist locations, which are often deserted outside the summer months. Many people have retired and live there all year. The town has a multi national population, which helps make La Marina an interesting and active place to stay, all year round.
