La Marina
is a well planned urbanisation of traditional style properties, set on gently sloping land with on-site swimming pools, tennis courts, bowling green, shops, banks, clinics, hairdressers, restaurants and bars. It is located midway between Torrevieja (with Villamartin golf course and Aqua Park) and Alicante, both 20kms away.

A 5km drive brings you to a beautiful unspoilt 17km stretch of sandy beach with bars and  restaurants. La Marina is situated approximately 20 minutes from Alicante Airport, 20 Minutes from Torrevieja and 6 minutes drive from the beach. 

It is well established and is one of the largest in Spain with over 6,000 houses, it is still growing. Despite its size it has a friendly and hospitable community.

The beautiful Blue Flag sandy beaches offer safe bathing and are approximately 5 km long.  Eating out is varied and inexpensive.  

La Marina is a well developed urbanization whose local amenities include 3 banks, 3 public swimming pools, snooker club, bowling club, 2 large supermarkets, national health doctor, private clinic, pharmacy, 3 newsagents and plenty of bars and restaurants (English, Spanish and German). 

For golf lovers, the closest course is La Marquesa situated at Rojales about 5 miles away.  Las Ramblas, and Villa Martin, a championship golf course, are within a 20-minute drive.  The famous golf courses at La Manga are 45 minutes drive.

The area enjoys a fantastic sunny climate and there are 320 days of sunshine on average each year.   

Urb. La Marina is only 4km from the sea and is well supported with local bus services to all the local towns and markets as well as to the beaches in the summer.  

People from all nationalities have chosen La Marina as their holiday destination for many years and many have made it their permanent home. 

The mix of different languages and cultures makes La Marina an enviable place to live and there is always someone to share a friendly chat and leisurely coffee.                            

  The neighbouring La Marina village, down the hill from the urbanisation, offers facilities such as camping, primary school and language school as well as other well established restaurants and businesses.

The local road network means that major towns and cities are easily accessible and there is a local bus link to Alicante, Guardamar and Torrevieja. 

The train service from Alicante is well regarded and offers excursions to destinations further a field such as Madrid and Barcelona.

The beaches are of golden sand and are clean and safe, they offer fun and relaxation for all the family. Various activities and water sports are available or just lay back and enjoy the sun.

The people are relaxed and friendly and their gastronomy, some of the best in Spain is widely available and still inexpensive despite the Euro! 

Typical local dishes include various Tapas, Paella and rice dishes as well as local freshly caught seafood. Enjoy your meal with a glass of chilled wine and soak in the atmosphere in this wonderful location.
