There are many remnants of our proud caving history dotted around the environs of Crowborough. Thousands of visitors to the Ashdown Forest probably speed past this particular vestige on the B2026 without ever giving it a second thought.
![]() The "Waterholes" car park is one of several inviting harbours for cars that the Ashdown Forest has to offer. The origin of its name is unclear, however a certain amount of light is shed when one takes into consideration its neighbouring car park, "Smugglers".
