During the World War II, C S Snoxell was engaged as an instructor in England. This is a 1941 Worthy Down training course photograph of the students. On the reverse of the Crown Copyright print were the signatures of the course members:

NOTE: Hartwell, E.F. of 817 squadron was awarded a DSM on 21st November 1942 for his part in the sinking of U-517. Woodley, W.A. of 848 squadron Mentioned In Despatches following action on 30th May 1945 at Sakishima.
