The first expanded work on flying accidents in the UK and
Ireland was Hell On High Ground Vol 1. 100 Stories were
covered on both Military & Civil crashes throughout 10
geographical areas: Peak District,Yorkshire Moors,Lake
District,West Pennines, Isle of Man, South West Moors,
Scotland & the Highlands, Border Hills, Welsh Mountains
and Ireland.

THEIR FINAL MISSION

Pubished by the author in 1994, This 40 page booklet told
the stories of eight B-17 Flying Fortress accidents on high
ground. Only 200 copies of the book were printed and it is
long since out of print, however, 6 of the 8 stories were
updated with new photos for HELL ON HIGH GROUND Vols
1 and 2.




ALL IN A DAY`S WORK

A compilation of events based on the diaries of one of the
RAF Mountain Rescue team members in WW2, the book details
the call outs on over 20 crashes around Snowdonia,North
Wales from 1944 -1946. and is avalable online from the

Stories in Magazines & Newspapers

Over the years the author has contributed to a number of
magazines & newspapers,inc: Aeroplane Monthly, Aviation
Archaeologist, Orkney View, Daily Post,Reporter etc.



The largest project todate was the second volume of the book
HELL ON HIGH GROUND. Published by Airlife Publishing in 1999
this was the third book by the author.

The book contained 11 chapters with 5 appendices,including the
updates on vol 1, and a "Roll of Honour". The last chapter was
on the Isles & Hebrides and eventually became an inspiration
for another book project (See latest projects page).

Vol 2 of Hell on High Ground, unlike the first volume, dealt
with WW2 aircraft, and covered 110 stories throughout the
British Isles.It was illustrated with over 200 b/w photos of
aircrew,aircraft and crash sites, both then & now.
