Chairman's Message

Welcome to Dunstable Bowmen, whether you're a budding 'Robin Hood' or someone who can hit apples at 50 paces!

Dunstable Bowmen were formed over thirty years ago and have shot at various sites over the years. We are usually based* at the London Gliding club, near Dunstable. Here we have a permanently marked out range with a 365-day a year use.  During the winter season (October - March) we also shoot indoors at Manshead School on a Thursday evening.

We shoot all forms of bow - Recurve, Longbow and Compound, and have mixed membership with singles, families and children all with different shooting abilities. We have among our members National Record holders, County Champs and Record holders along with others who love to come down to the field, shoot a few arrows, have a chat, a cup of tea, or even a barbecue.

For those who fancy a go at tournaments, these are shot usually on Sunday - and many are within the three counties.

* From 1st July Dunstable Bowmen will be temporarily shooting at Sparrow Hall Farm, Edlesborough, Dunstable, Beds LU6 2ES, thanks to the Archery Warehouse, while work is carried out at our field at the London Gliding Club.
