The Sparks family has a number of members who are interested in art indeed there are also members

Who are involved in the world of Art?

a painter who has exhibited her work for public viewing and who has had a successful

Painting career.

she also is an accomplished stone carver many of her works are on display

Her work in stone and wood along with her paintings are much sought after

she is becoming one of the best artist’s in West Wales she takes her inspiration from the beautiful

Welsh coastline and surrounding mountain scenery she lives in a beautiful and quite hamlet with her

Delightful children.

her Father also has an artistic flair his talent was displayed in Glass painting

He also has an eye for anything antique often spotting a treasure that has been thrown

Aside in some corner of a junk shop as worthless.

her Grandfather Edward was also talented in painting he enjoyed painting

Landscape’s some of his paintings are hung proudly in the homes of his children

A treasure never to be parted from.

Her sister is also very talented in the delicate art of portrait painting on large eggs such as goose

She captures the fine and delicate details of bird and animal models transforming a simple egg

Using it as her canvas turning it into a fine work of art and beauty.

John her Uncle also has a talent but not with the brush and easel no painting for him although a painting

Of his depicting a mountain background with sheepfolds on the valley floor is displayed

On public view.

His talent

Lay in his ability to transfer life as he sees it and that which he has lived through into

The written word he is an accomplished writer he has written of the times when the local delivery

From the railway goods yard to local stores was made by

Teams of Shire horses drawing a cart loaded with goods for delivery

Huge animals to the then small boy

Having written a series of children’s stories in the theme of an animal community living in a wood

And of their adventures his stories had thrilled his children when they were young

As their children were born and became of age to read so also were they captivated by the adventures?

Of Gus the Owl and Milo the weasel and all their woodland friends

Also he has written of his experiences as a smallholder the trials and tribulations

Of his husbandry of farm animals.

Drawing on his time in the military and what he saw as a young man

He has written two spy thrillers and started a third.

He has also written of the changing times of his home town describing how his home town

Had changed from when he a young lad.

This is only a small part of the heritage of art that abounds in the Sparks family

For many past members have had this talent of art as this site grows we hope to include
