News... News... News... News... News... News...

August 4th 2002 - As of today the News page will only contain any breaking items that have not yet been incorporated in to the main text of the site.

Sadly news items about Desmond Bagley are becoming harder and harder to find and I'm getting no response to my many reply-paid enquires to the few companies who are actively pursuing projects. Because it is unlikely that any news will break so fast that I am unable to rewrite the relevant site section, it's original purpose is becoming much less of a priority.

However, although reader response is very low at the moment, I'm still happy to hear from people who might have relevant information they don't mind sharing. My most recent communication was from Colin Burgess about Bagley's gratitude for his help in tracing "unofficial" copies of his book. I'll post this intriguing story soon.

The site has now been running for four years and must surely be the most complete ever attempted for this world-renowned author. Certainly parts of it have been purloined to be used by others - which is a back-handed compliment in itself. However what these people tend to forget is that I pay to maintain these pages for everyone else to read. You will have noticed there is no annoying banner advertising here. Not a one. And this is something I would hope others might appreciate in this ever corporate Internet world. What happened to the "free-for-all" intentions of it's honourable beginings? I've no problem with people using my material as long as they just ask! Despite not being a "professional" there is still such a thing as Copyright!

Grateful thanks to the stalwarts who have so freely helped in my endeavours. You know who you are. I couldn't have done it without you.
