 REMEMBERING THE "OLD DAYS"

The beautiful Abbey Gardens on Tresco
...Isles of Scilly.

A lady statue in the gardens.
I'm sure she had a name,
 but I don't recall it.

were taken on our second
 visit in 2006

Strelitzia.......or more commonly known as The Bird of Paradise.

One of my favourite exotic flowers.
I once grew one from seed, but lost it before it ever flowered, as it doesn't flower until it is about 7 years old.

Gardens.

I can supply prints or CD, of any photos you may wish to use......................>

Tresco transport

Most people get around Tresco by walking, but some may get a lift on one of the tractors and trailors.

Tresco's pub....The New Inn.

Cottage on Tresco

New Grimsby Quay on Tresco.

This is the main quay used at high tide.

Boats have to land on the other side of the island at Old Grimsby at low tide, and when passengers land, they have to walk up a long narrow, almost seaweed covered path, to get on dry land, near to the "Island Hotel".

Tresco Stores.
