13. OK, now for the
artistic bit :o) When I use the retouch tool I use a
sweeping brush stroke gradually building up the effect. I
went through layer by layer using the retouch tool to
lighten and darken areas of the buck, using a round motion
near the eye and for the ear. Then darkening the very edge
of the ear. Darkening the back and front leg layers to
make some shading and slightly lightening the fronts of
the legs. Lightening the edge of the tail and on the body
layer darkening it to make the body more shapely.

16. Right click the layer palette
and merge layers visible. With the retouch tool at the
following settings pull out the fur on the tail then
magnify your image and slightly pull the fur over the root
of the antlers.
Merge all visible layers and with the
retouch tool set to soften at these settings, soften the
image, save as a tube or in PSP format
for future use.

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial,
if you haven't already done them the Doe and
Fawn are
waiting for you.
