15. OK, now for the artistic bit :o) When I use the retouch tool I use a sweeping brush stroke gradually building up the effect. I went through layer by layer using the retouch tool to lighten and darken areas of the doe. She was lightened fairly drastically in places especially the r inner ear and l ear layer and around the eyes and nose and the end of the tail. I didn't magnify the image as the results were seen better at normal view, if you go wrong simple use your undo tool. Here is a screen shot of the retouching shown in the hope you can see where to make your adjustments.

16. In the layer palette click on the tail layer to make active, use the retouch tool set to smudge at these settings to pull out the fur slightly on the tail.

Merge all visible layers and with the retouch tool set to soften at these settings, soften the entire doe, save as a tube or in PSP format for future use.

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial, if you haven't already done them the Buck and Fawn are waiting for you.
