6.  Make sure you are working on the front layer, selections/select all, with the selection tool click on the front to get the marching ants, selections/save to alpha channel, this is the only channel we are going to save so there is no need to give it a name. Selections/select none.

7. Create a new layer naming it line. Selections/load from alpha channel and use the selection we have just saved. Flood fill with black. While still selected click and hold the shift key the press the up arrow on your keyboard 4 times then the left key 3 times. Selections/select none. Selections/load from alpha channel. Delete. Selections/select none.

8. You will see that there are some edges. With the deformation tool move the line down, then using the outer middle tabs pull out the line slightly then to line it up properly rotate slightly.

Apply the deformation. Selections/load from alpha channel, selections/invert, delete.

9. Create a new layer naming it line2. Selections/load from alpha channel and flood fill with black. While still selected click and hold the shift key the press the down arrow on your keyboard 4 times then the left right 3 times. Selections/select none. Selections/load from alpha channel. Delete. Selections/select none. You now need to use the deformation tool on this line as you did on the previous line. Selections/load from alpha channel. Selections/invert. Delete. Selections/none.

10. In the layer palette, click on the glasses on layers 1, back and front to make invisible, right click one of the line layers and merge visible. While on the merged layer go to effects/blur/gaussian blur with a radius of 1. Click on the glasses on the front layer to bring it into view, right click and merge visible.

11. Selections/load from alpha channel. Effects/plugin filters/Flaming Pear/Super BladePro. Open the gold_old preset. Click and hold the bmp square and choose the top blank bmp. Click and hold the shape square and choose the bottom smooth shape. Change the radius to 30 and the embossing to 70.

12. Selections/select none. In the layer palette click the back layer to make active clicking the glasses to bring into view. Selections/select all, with the selection tool click on the image to get the marching ants. Open Super BladePro again, use the same settings as before but change the height to -40. Selections/select none. With the merged and back layer visible, right click one of them in the layer palette, merge visible.

 

And there you have your wedding band, when you resize go to effects/sharpen/unsharp mask, radius 1, strength 75, clipping 0. Of course you could use a texture while in Super BladePro or add some more decoration, the choice and finished effect is yours to decide. I hope you enjoyed this tut and had fun.
