PSP8  Pixel Snow Drop Tut

This tutorial has been written using PSP8 but should work in PSP7. Please take the time to read my terms.

Rather than me giving screen shots showing how many pixels please drag this image to your work area to use as a template.

 

1. Image, increase colour depth to 16 million colours. Layers - Promote background to layer. With the magic wand , tolerance 0, feather 0, mode = add, select the white areas of the image and delete so you only have the outlines. Or create a new layer and with the paint brush at size 1 trace over the outlines using your own colours.

note - for PSP7, hold Shft while using the magic wand to select all the white areas.

Ctrl+D. 

 

2. With the magic wand, replace, click inside the larger flower. Flood fill with #F8F6F6. Effects - 3D Effects - Cutout, apply at the setting given. Ctrl+D.

Repeat for the smaller flower.

Vertical 0 
Horizontal 0
Opacity 100
Blur 4
Shadow colour #DFD9D9
Fill colour #F8F6F6

3. With the magic wand, replace, click inside the left leaf. Flood fill with #82A168. Effects - 3D Effects - Cutout, apply at the setting given. Ctrl+D.

Repeat for the right leaf, changing the vertical to -1 and horizontal to 1 in the cutout effect.

4. With the paint brush at size 1, foreground colour #738D5C, paint a couple of lines on to the leaf.

 

Save as a tube or in PSP format.
