Background Story
Dizzy's in trouble - again!
Dizzy was taking a boat journey to visit his girlfriend, Daisy and present her with a glittering pearl necklace (the old romantic). But! Catastrophe strikes as Dizzy discovers he's not on a passenger boat at all! It's a pirate ship, captained by none other than the evil Captain Blackheart!
"Yikes!" yelled Dizzy as Blackheart snatched the pearls from his clutches! Blackheart hollered, "Avast there! Splice the mainbrace! And chuck this land-lubber over the side!". With that, Dizzy was made to walk the plank and - splooosh! - into the ocean he fell!
As Dizzy sank into the mysterious ocean caverns there was only one thing for it - head for the surface and fast!!

My Opinion
Avoid the Speccy version at all costs! I'm sorry to say it but this game turned out better on the other consoles than on the Speccy. The Speccy version suffered from horrendous graphics and botched controls.
Judging this game by releases on other platforms, it has a very simple concept and is therefore easy to get into. In the beginning, the game is quite addictive, but due to a lack of variation in the gameplay, it can quickly get rather monotonous. So, assuming you aren't playing on a speccy, Bubble Dizzy is a pretty decent way to spend half an hour.
My Best Bits
- I've made it to the top of a chasm only to accidentally fall back in so many times that I've very little hair left.
- Finding a sample of this game embedded as a minigame in Fantasic Dizzy. It ties in seamlessly with the plot.
