The best music for me, both as a dancer and a DJ, is the rich and dense 'barrio sound' of the seventies before salsa went all 'romantic'. Gems like Sonora
Poncena's birthday party, Markolino Diamond & Frankie Dante, Orlando Marin, Impacto Crea, Joe
Batan, Johnny Colon +
many others of the classic Cotique era are simply irreplaceable genre of music that I cherish deeply.

Biography
As a DJ I mix my sets in such a way that each song a dancer hears shocks his or her system, expect the
unexpected. I get comfortable being uncomfortable in
my selections. I always choose the craziest mix of music, a mangu could follow
Los Van Van which in turn could be followed by a classic Barreto. I have been
described by The Cherwell Magazine as 'wild card' and I am commonly known in London as 'the speed demon'.
Dancers who listen to my music not only get to dance
to hard salsa but they get exposed to the full spectrum of this rich music from old to new, from
Cuban to New York.
My style is not specific to a certain genere of salsa e.g. contemporary
Cuban but it is the 'mix'. The elements that qualify to be in my mix for a night
are tracks that are:
hard
cutting edge
contemporary
pushed the limit
avant garde
fresh.
I guess my real objective when I DJ is to make people
who can't dance want to dance.
