METHODS OF USE
The most common way of taking cannabis is to smoke it with some tobacco in rolling papers. When inhaled, cannabis smoke enters the bloodstream through the lungs and is pumped immediately through the heart and up to the brain.
(To be safe, when you have reached the desired state you can put the joint down. Some suggest you pass to the left because right is the wrong way).
Smoking is the most damaging way of using cannabis.
When cannabis is heated in a spliff, bong or pipe it gives off three times as much tar and five times more carbon monoxide than an average filter-tipped cigarette.
Under normal smoking conditions less than a fifth of the THC in the joint enters the body - the rest is burned off.
A more efficient way of consuming cannabis is to bake it into cakes and cookies.
But be careful. The amount you normally put into one joint is enough when eaten to get four people stoned, so don't use too much!
When cannabis is eaten it can take an hour or two before you feel the effects and it can last anything upto 12 hours!
So try and wait at least a couple of hours before eating more.
REDUCING THE HARM FROM SMOKING CANNABIS
Don't breath in too deeply or hold the smoke in your lungs - you don't get anymoe stoned
and you increase the amount of tar and other dangerous chemicals that stick to your lung tissue.
Clean your weed properly (i don't mean wash it).
The bulk of THC is in the sticky tops and flowers, so stem, leaves, seeds and other bits should be taken out.
Don't mix cannabis with tobacco - it's addictive and causes death.
Don't use a cigarette filter for a roach.
They increase the ratio of tar to THC by 30% and reduce the amount of THC that gets through by 60%.
Use a plain piece of card (printers ink gives of dangerous fumes when heated) loosely rolled up for a roach as this will allow the smoke to flow easily.
The thinner the rizla papers you use the better, as you don't inhale too much burning paper...i suggest silvers.
Don't use plastic bottles, rubber hoses, PVC, aluminium or foil, to smoke with.
These all give off toxic fumes.
Clean bongs and pipes propely after use. Some germs, like hepatitis, can hang around long enough to infect you and you friends.
Pipes made from glass, steel or brass present less health risk than wood or plastic, which can give off unplesen
