lets go now before the dawn
along the beach where night lingers
where mist shrouds the coming light
and pushes back the world
and hand in hand we glimpse
elusive shades of perfection
black and silver
alone within the night
a symphony of stars
across an ebon sky
shot through with lightening shades of dawn
we find our solitude, our peace
our love ..........
before the day begins
and draws us back
and here within the night
the world recedes and disappears
If I could only stop the dawn
and keep you here, with me,
spend an eternity with you
safe within your warm embrace
