~ Silent Storms ~

We are two ships that pass in the night,
Neither hearing nor seeing the other,
Our hearts pounding with only silence,
All emotions falling to the wayside.

I am trapped in your vortex of anger,
Like an uncontrolable wind,
Hurled into the abyss of emptiness,
I hesitate to salvage what once was
.

My voice calls out but I am not heard,
Only a faint echo in the distance,
Darkened storms have lessened my love,
Leaving no moral justice for my heart.

As I sift through this wreckage of love,
I will protect my every tomorrow,
Treading lightly with my emotions,
I will set sail with my new freedom.
