![]() I am going to ATTEMPT to copy, word for word, a self-hypnosis tape I have. If you can record this onto a tape, it will work wonders!! Mind you, I did have a face-to-face session with the fella whose voice is on the tape - it works for me, but it might not work for you!! It is very repetitive and some things might sound a little bit daft, but that is how hypnosis is! Get yerself comfy then! Anywhere will do, even sitting in a chair in front of the computer!
![]() Take a few deep breaths - just to get some oxygen into your system. Good. And when you're ready, I'd like you to just picture yourself in a nice, safe, comfortable place, wherever you choose. Imagine yourself, being alone in a place that's comfortable and safe for you. Take as much time as you like. When you're beginning to see yourself in that place, just let your eyes close quite naturally - let them close gently and picture yourself in that comfortable place. (A long silence on the tape here!) That's good and as you're breathing quite naturally, quite normally, I want you to notice some things about your body. I want you to notice your chest, rising and falling as you breathe. I want you to notice the feeling of your body pressing down into the chair where it touches. I want you to notice the feeling of your tongue against your teeth. Notice the movement of air on your skin. Notice a nice, comfortable feeling. And I want you to notice the air passing through your nose as you breathe in and out. Notice the feeling of the clothing on your body. Notice the very sensitivity of your fingertips. Notice yourself becoming more relaxed. Notice the feeling of your hair on your forehead. The feeling of your feet inside your shoes. Feeling more and more peaceful. Notice the warmth of your body inside your clothes. Notice the slow, gentle beat of your heart. Notice the lovely feeling of peacefulness all through your body. Breathing quite naturally; quite easily. That's good. And whilst you're relaxing so well, in a few moments time, I'm saying the word "now" - and when I say the word "now" in a few moments time, I want you to allow that feeling of relaxation around your eyes - I want you to allow it to spread across your scalp - down through all the muscles of your face - down through all the muscles of your neck - spreading out across your shoulders - and down, down your arms - all the way down to the tips of your fingers - letting all those muscles relax completely and utterly, when I say the word "now" in a few moments time. So, when I say the word "now" in a few moments time, allowing that feeling of relaxation around your eyes to spread across your scalp, down through all the muscles of your face, down through all the muscles of your neck, spreading out across your shoulders, and down - down through all the muscles of your arms, all the way down to the tips of your fingers - letting all those muscles relax, completely and utterly - letting that happen "now", "now". That's good In a few moments time, when I say the word "now", I want you to allow all the muscles of your chest - all the muscles of your back - all the way down, down to your hips - letting all those muscles relax, completely and utterly. All the muscles of your chest, all the muscles of your back, all the way down, down to your hips. Letting all those muscles relax, completely and utterly. Letting that happen "now", "now". That's good. In a few moment's time, when I say the word "now", I want you to allow all the muscles of your hips - all the muscles of your thighs - all the muscles of your calves - all the way down, down to the tips of your toes. Letting all those muscles relax, completely and utterly. Letting all those muscles go limp and slack, when I say the word "now" in a few moments time. All the muscles of your hips, all the muscles of your thighs, all the muscles of your calves, all the way down, down to the tips of your toes. Letting all those muscles relax, completely and utterly. Letting that happen, "now" - "now". Letting all those muscles go. Breathing quite naturally, quite normally. As your breathing away quite naturally, quite normally - letting all the muscles of your body relax even more with each breath you're taking - becoming more and more relaxed - more and more relaxed with each breath you take. Allowing yourself - allowing all your muscles to go limp and slack - going deeper and deeper - with each breath you take - just allowing yourself to sink deeper and deeper into a lovely, peaceful, safe, secure, calm state of this deep relaxation hypnosis. With each breath you're taking, you're becoming more and more relaxed - more and more relaxed - with each breath you're taking - just enjoying this lovely feeling - going deeper and deeper - deeper and deeper - with each breath you're taking - that's good. Enjoying this lovely feeling and if you wanted to open your eyes you could - but you perhaps don't feel like opening your eyes - just enjoying this lovely feeling - enjoying this lovely, natural feeling - with each breath you're taking - going deeper and deeper - allowing yourself to relax as much as you want to relax today - as much as you're able to relax today - enjoying this lovely feeling - going deeper and deeper with each breath you take - enjoying this lovely feeling - this quite natural feeling. And whilst you can hear the ticking of the clock, perhaps the sound of people and cars going by outside - and any other disturbances in the background - these sounds aren't troubling you - in fact these sounds are helping you, because as you become more and more relaxed, with each breath you're taking, so these sounds are fading away - the sounds are fading away into the background. And as they fade away into the background, they're helping you to become even more relaxed - even more peaceful - even more calm than before. Listening to the sound of my voice, letting the sound of my voice be a sign and a signal to you to go even deeper - even more completely into relaxation and rest. Forgetting all about your body - forgetting all about your body. Just letting your body float away. Feeling so relaxed - so completely relaxed in this natural, safe, comfortable, secure feeling of relaxation hypnosis. Forgetting all about your body - just letting your body float away. And if your mind wants to wander, then let it wander. Allowing your body to completely and utterly, relax. With each breath you're taking, becoming more and more relaxed. More and more relaxed. That's good. And as you become more and more relaxed, with each breath you're taking, so, quite naturally, becoming more and more mentally calm, more and more mentally calm with each breath you're taking. And as you become more and more mentally calm with each breath you're taking, so, quite naturally, at the same time, becoming more and more physically relaxed - more and more physically relaxed - with each breath you're taking. And as you become more and more physically relaxed with each breath you're taking, as you become more and more mentally calm with each breath you're taking - so, your mind is ceasing churning round and round unnecessary problems - your mind is ceasing churning round and round unnecessary problems - allowing you to be yourself - allowing you the time and the peace of mind to be yourself - enjoying yourself. As you become more and more physically relaxed, as you become more and more mentally calm with each breath you're taking - so, quite naturally, feeling a deep inner confidence - like a warm place inside you - deep inner confidence. Because if we feel relaxed, if we feel mentally calm, then, quite naturally - these two things allow us to feel deep, deep inner confidence. Confidence to allow yourself to be yourself. In all kinds of ways - with all kinds of people - in all kinds of situations - because you feel physically relaxed - because you feel mentally calm - so, quite naturally, feeling that deep inner confidence - deep inner confidence. And as the days are going by, and you're feeling you're becoming more and more physically relaxed, you're feeling you're becoming more and more mentally calm, you're feeling your becoming more and more confident, with a deep inner confidence, growing like a warm wave inside you - so you're dealing with anybody; you're dealing with any thing; you're dealing with any situation so much more easily than before - because you do indeed, feel more and more physically relaxed - more and more mentally calm - with a deep, deep inner confidence - growing like a slow, warm wave inside you - as the days are going by - because you know you are able to relax - you know you are able to be mentally calm - you know that deep inside you, there's a deep warmth, a deep inner confidence which is you. Deep inside you. And as the days are going by, and you're feeling you're becoming more and more physically relaxed - more and more mentally calm - with a deep inner confidence, steadily growing - so these things are helping you - because as the days are going by, you're dealing with anybody - you're dealing with any thing - you're dealing with any situation so much better than before because you are indeed feeling more and more relaxed - more and more mentally calm - with a deep, deep inner confidence that's steadily growing every day - every day - every day. Allowing these natural feelings of physical relaxation, mental calmness, deep inner confidence - allowing these three things to become a part of your life. Every day. Every day. Every day. So, as the days are going by, you're noticing, perhaps in small ways at first, but certainly noticing, that you are, indeed, becoming more and more confident - more and more mentally calm - more and more physically relaxed - and you're dealing with anybody - anything - any situation - so much better than before, because you feel so relaxed - so mentally calm - with a deep inner confidence, that's growing every day - every day - every day. That's good. In a few moments time, I'm saying the words "1, 2, 3 open your eyes". When I say the words "1, 2, 3 open your eyes" in a few moments time - you're coming out of this relaxation hypnosis quite quickly and quite easily. Your body no longer feels heavy - in fact, the whole of your body - the whole of your mind - the whole of your spirit - is feeling so refreshed from the rest. And you're keeping with you as much of these feelings of relaxation, mental calmness and deep inner confidence - as much as you need. And you're taking these feelings with you - away from here - into the coming days and weeks - and as every day is going by, you're feeling you're becoming more physically relaxed - more and more mentally calm - with a deep inner confidence that's steadily growing every day - every day - every day. And the next time we meet, or whenever you wish to enter this lovely state of relaxation hypnosis, whenever you wish for that to happen, all I'm saying is the word "relax" - "relax". And as I'm saying the word "relax", so your eyes are closing and you're allowing yourself to go into this deep, deep state of hypnosis - even deeper than today - any time that you want to enter this state of relaxation hypnosis, all I'm saying to you is the word "relax" - "relax". And as I say the word "relax", your eyes are closing, you're allowing yourself to go deeper and deeper into this lovely, safe, peaceful, comfortable, secure state of relaxation hypnosis. Any time - when you wish. All I'm saying is the word "relax" - "relax". So, ready. "1, 2, 3 open your eyes" "Open your eyes".
