Latest News Membership Fees Now Due Membership fees for season 2003/2004 are now due. The cost is € 20 each. This entitles you to match tickets, cheaper merchandise and a general sense of well being. Please note that the club will be applying for Old Firm (fingers crossed) and cup games and only members will be entitled to these. Dues can be paid on the bus v Linfield or at any club meeting. An Taoiseach backs Gers (sort of!) One of our members was recently drinking in a north-side hostelry recently with his inlaws when he happened to notice the Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, drinking with a few of his buddies. Our intrepid fan, a guy who isn't backward at coming forward, negotiated his way past the minders and asked Bertie if, in the name of the peace process and, given the fact that C*ltic had just won the league, would he back the Gers in the Scottish Cup Final. Bertie pointed out that he was a Man U fan but would have no problem with Rangers lifting the trophy. Well, goddamit, that's good enough for us! Martin O'Neill, "nice" shocker A few of our members recently attended a reunion for the Northern Ireland World Cup '82 team which of course included C*ltic manager Martin O'Neill. As the night wore on, our guys got chatting to MON and informed him of our club. Alas, at this point of the night the memories got a bit hazy and MON's reply is not noted but he did come across as "quite a nice guy". MON also did us the honour of signing the back of one of hour guy's Dublin RSC membership card. The member has now been barred and the card destroyed. At another stage of the night various items were auctioned for charity, including a C*ltic top donated by MON. Our guys, being a bit the worse for wear, decided to bid for the said item. Fortunately, they decided that it wasn't worth the £1.50 they were bidding and refused to raise their offer. It eventually went for £500. Other Stories | |
