February 26th 2005 10.30am at Trelai ....not Pontcanna!

Fairwater v Marlboro  Eagles 

All the Marlboro Eagles clan arrived  well in time for the game at Pontcanna. Shame the game was in Trelai! After some organising including locking some bikes in the ladies loo all lads and followers trekked across the city to find our opponents! We finally kicked off around half hour late and we were treated to..... well let's just say it wasn't a spectacle!

The lads scored 5 goals including a wonderful 30 yard strike from Mike 2 but the game was lost 9-5. Both teams had little shape and errors were plentiful.

 The referee was very familiar, if he'd been wearing sandals I swear it would have been Tim Rhoden!

The management have a number of injury concerns: Declan's painful hamstring injury caused him to leave the field and the lads with ten men, fortunately with only two minutes left. Hassan's ankle caused him problems towards the end of the game and Dave played through a slight groin strain in the second half. Doug and Dermot both have back injuries after carrying Declan 5 miles back to the Car Park! (As usual, we were on the pitch furthest away!)
