Heath Park Gets Muddy Again!

The first game of the year at Heath Park saw the lads return to the mud! If they'd forgotten how sticky the Park gets they left today under no illusions whatsoever!

The game started badly for the Eagles with the defence outnumbered on the first five or six attacks. Capital Trucks took full advantage and were 2 goals to the good in five minutes. After this the lads got into shape and competed well for the rest of the half and were unlucky not to score on several occasions. Unfortunately, Capital were able to bundle a third over the line before half time and at the break the lads were three goals down.

The second half saw a lot more Eagle chances appear and Niall, Allessandro and Josh all went close. An excellent move saw Allessandro pull one back after some superb approach play from half the Eagles side. The Eagles were now well in the game and with a little more fortune could have found parity. Near the end Capital Trucks scored a fourth to make the final score 1-4.
