Fareham Dynamos 0
W'ville BOBS Res. 5
Dynamos top of the table clash ended up in their worse league defeat of the season following some suspect goalkeeping from Steve Munden, it was also the first time Dynamos have
failed to score in a league fixture this season. The score of 0-5 was a real let down after such superb performances had taken Dynamos second in the table, now the hard work must begin again this sunday coming.

man-of-the-match:
Mark Pearce

A performance of sheer ineptitude from keeper Steve Munden handed BOBS a 5-0 away win at the expense of the previously high flying Dynamos. It was just one of those games for Steve who made 4, yes 4, errors to hand the game to BOBS on a plate served with side salad.

The first half started well with both teams battling in the midfield and early indications were that there wasn't much between the teams. Bobs had the better of the clear cut chances though and the Dynamos defence had to be alert with Webster and Pearce in great form. BOBS should have had the lead though on 15 minutes when indecision between keeper and defence allowed the BOBS forward to nick in but his shot went wide. Sneade was finding it hard against 2 men on the right as BOBS were finding a lot of room. Dynamos had to be content with breakaways and one such move involving Tudge and Graham saw a through ball go through to Wells who ran on and shot wide of the upright. BOBS came close again on the half hour when a Smith clearance fell to the edge of the 18 yard box but the midfielder fired over the Dynamos cross bar with Munden sprawling. Dynamos then had 2 corners in quick succession, the first meeting Pearce's ample forehead but the keeper saved for another corner. The second corner fell to Addiscott who's shot was poor and skyward. Half time looked to be heading for a third successive 0-0 for Dynamos but on 41 minutes the deadlock was broken by BOBS, a break down the left saw the ball cut back into the box for the forward to sidefoot home from 12 yards. Dynamos hunted for an immediate equaliser but Graham could only shoot into the keeper's arms following good build up play. Half time was 0-1 to BOBS.

Dynamos looked hungry at the start of the second half as the temperature dropped to minus 1. An early chance fell to Johnston, who was having one of his quieter games, but his shot was tame and posed little problem for the BOBS keeper. Pearce was alert to block a breakaway by BOBS, showing good vision to head off the line following a great ball into the box. The first 15 minutes saw much BOBS pressure but little to trouble the back 3 but they increased their lead to 2-0 on 60 minutes in bizarre fashion. A seemingly harmless ball into the box saw keeper Munden unchallenged but inexplicably palm the ball into the top corner. A stunned silence filled the stadium (field) as the BOBS players wheeled away in triumph. 3-0 arrived soon enough when the Dynamos keeper rolled a ball out to the last man but the BOBS forward spotted this and intercepted the throw out before lashing home. Dynamos tried to restore some pride with Wells working tirelessly up front. Dynamos had a good 5 minutes pressure forcing a couple of corners, one meeting the head of Smith but just over. The killer blow arrived on 76 minutes when Munden failed to hold a dipping long shot and the ball rolled to the striker who chipped the ball into the far corner. Graham almost restored some pride back following a superb ball into the box from Tucker Munnen but his volley was well saved. The final 5 minutes saw goal for the runaway leaders, and again a soft shot was spilled by the seemingly drunk Munden for the forward to slide home.

Final score was 5-0 in a disappointing game.

Man of the match was Mark "The Rock" Pearce.
