Information Systems Manager
Responsible for College Web site, management of library, archives, electronic information services. The library is a small specialised collection serving College members and staff.

Library:

• Manage/supervise three posts; currently mentoring Assistant Librarian for CILIP chartership
• Carried out system migration from OLIB to ADLIB Library, October 2003
• Responsible for maintenance and development of library management system; worked with ADLIB technical support personnel on an extensive customisation of the interlending module
• Implemented access to National Core Content databases and full-text journals, and MIDIRS bibliographic database
• Publicised new library services and electronic resources via articles in RCM Midwives Journal
• Carried out user survey of student members, spring 2004

Web site: 

• Create and update content (via CMS and Dreamweaver)
• Work with external design agency on design and maintenance issues
• Developed strategy for new web site; involved extensive research on content management issues

Other:

• Extensively involved with College IT issues; member of selection panels for new IT support contractor and e-learning developer
• Built an e-shop for College publications using Actinic e-commerce application
• Copy-edited several recent College publications
• Scheduled to give presentation at RCM Annual Conference on systematic reviewing (May 2005)
• Produced implementation plan for College intranet
