GOVERNMENTS across the planet are shouting about how overweight their population is getting. We hear them, we understand what they are saying but are we listening. NO.!
They are those who think that if they shout loud enough that everyone who hears their voice will actually listen to what they are saying. Personally I think education through understanding the facts will enlighten those who wish to learn.
Life Matters is a small private mobile practice that specialises in individual and group fitness through the concept of "Life Matters". It's main goal is to promote the fact, that Life really does Matter and that the soul and body are seen as a whole from both a physiological and a psychologically healthy point of view.
Life Matters aims, through constructive and honest education, from a qualified Sports Therapist, with professional skills in Psychology, Nutrition and Physiology to help individuals access and then enhance their current lifestyle choices so as to be able to realistically achieve goals that will make their Life Matter more.
Most people have busy lifestyles, they often have to make choices that are not always in harmony with their own eco systems. Far too often this can lead to an imbalance both within their mind and their body.
Life Matters understands that in order to make good choices you have to have good information from inception. A consultation with us will give us a better understanding of you, your goals and the opportunity to set some realistic targets.
We make the assumption that you want to bring your lifestyle back into balance. By looking at your mind first we can see how you are dealing with life and more importantly, how life is dealing with you. We can then move on to your body, what you eat, when you eat and how often you eat. A look at your "Basic Activity Level" will shine some light on your day and a look at your energy expenditure through physical exercise will help us to be able to make educated decisions about you.
From all of this a sustainable program of alterations to your lifestyle both in the form of mental relaxation from stress reduction and an exercise program designed just for you, will lead to changes that bring about harmony in your eco system.
Weight Management: Involves adopting a lifestyle that includes a healthy eating plan and regular physical activity. The key to managing weight throughout life is a positive attitude and the right kind of motivation. Internal motivators such as health, increased energy, self-esteem, and personal control increase your chances for lifelong weight management success.
Make health, not appearance, your weight management priority. A realistic goal is to achieve a healthy weight, not necessarily the lowest weight you can reach or an "ideal" weight from a chart.
