IMAGE CONSCIOUS
THE ART OF LOOKING GOOD

British Institute of Professional Photography

British Institute of Professional Photography

Some photographers will have loads of letters after their name, most of which will mean nothing to you,, except one.

BIPP: The British Institute of Professional Photography is the one set of letters that most professional photographers know, that once earnt and then placed after their name, these letters shout at the top their voices one word. "Pro".

There are two ways to get these letters after your name.

  1. via a portfolio that is acceptable with plenty of work experience,, or

  2. by sitting a professional exam after following a recognised course and then submitting a portfolio, that is accepted,, and passing the exam.

My acceptance into this institution was via exam, a copy of my certificates are placed at the end of this page.

The Art of Looking Good, is not an easy subject to draw, this why IMAGE CONSCIOUS offers a photographic service which also covers and deals with some of the other stress area which are associated with weddings.

Anyone can pick up a camera but there is more to photography than just having a flashy camera,, unless owning a CONTAX 645 and appropriate professional equipment is deemed flashy,, if it is then I am a flash photographer who also happens to have a first class degree in photography and has spent the last 20 years teaching photography to a wide range of people both in schools and colleges.

Being a wedding photographer isn't just about recording images. On the day you are one of the head communicators whose basic task is to exercise your creative ability to convert a rainbow of conceptions into shades of black and white dreams and then present them in a way that is a true pictorial  reflection of a wedding fairytale.

As a personal service IMAGE CONSCIOUS also offers a Health and Fitness plan, available to all parties, as a goal and a tool towards increasing the pleasure of your special day.

As a professional health and fitness service which encompasses the use of sound nutritional advice with an understanding of heart rate training at it's highest level, my basic philosophy is that a person wishing to get fitter, needs to have a better understanding of their self and offers the following services in both group and individual format.

Emotional and Physical Stress Management.

  • Stress is an unavoidable consequence of life. However, just as distress can cause disease, it seems plausible that there are good stresses that promote wellness. Stress is not always necessarily harmful. Winning a race or election can be just as stressful as losing, or more so, but may trigger very different biological responses.

  • Increased stress results in increased productivity,, up to a point. However, this level differs for each of us. It's very much like the stress on a violin string. Not enough produces a dull, raspy sound. Too much tension makes a shrill, annoying noise or snaps the string. However, just the right degree can create a magnificent tone.

  • The body may contain its own best pharmacy. We aim to developing a better understanding of how to tap into the vast innate potential that resides in each of us for preventing disease and promoting health. Good health is more than just the absence of illness. Rather, it is a very robust state of physical and emotional well-being, that acknowledges the importance and inseparability of mind/body relationships.

Total Body Nutritional Advice.

  • True Energy Needs

  • Understanding Food

  • Food Labels and what this means to you

  • Understanding your Body Clock.

I am not a Dietitian, I will not sit down and write you out a menu, I am not qualified to do so. I am a Sports Therapist with a qualification in Nutrition.

This qualification has helped me to understand that a balanced diet is one which contains carbohydrate, protein, fat, vitamins, mineral salts and fibre.
