At AMG we recognise that there are many companies out there who make speaker boxes but we would like to think, having seen many of these "Branded Name Boxes" that ours are radically different and will hopefully be the only speaker box you ever need to consider buying.

We first like to know who we are making the box for, type of music that you like to listen to, your proposed power amplification and whether or not you want a out and out SPL box or a Point of Reference box.

Then we discuss with you the main differences between each type of box and its applications, things like transfer function and how to achieve either smooth and deep solid bass or raw SPL. By now we will both know a lot more about each other. If, at this point you then decide that we are not for you then that is fine, at least we know that the next person that you talk to about speaker boxes will know that you know what you are talking about and thus keep their level of bullshit down to an absolute minimum.

We can design a box around your existing speakers and either build the box for you or just sell you the designs for a nominal design fee. Each design sets includes at least three options and a complete computer print out of what you need and what to expect in terms of performance.

We know that some speakers are not worth the effort so if you have or suggest a set of speakers that we know just will not work we will not even bother to consider doing a patch-up job. As the customer you can always ignore us but we won't lie to you just to get your business. On the other hand, if you have already invested in a box from elsewhere, that you are not happy with, for a nominal fee + costs, if it is possible, we will re-tune that box, so that it does what it is really supposed to do had it been designed correctly in the first place.

All of our designs are done using a mixture of professional CAD software, each design is based on each individual customer needs, we only use the very best of materials, hand picked wood from 18mm -25mm using a mixture of both MDF and HDP, boxes are all fully acoustically lined, depending on their application they can also be lined with upto five different types of sound deadening material per application.

All boxes use gold plated everything, even though we know that you can't always see everything we do. Anybody who splits one of our boxes in half will find, that you need to smash it apart it will not just come apart, cable that is upto 2.5mm 620/.007 OFC which can handle 300v i.e.. in excess of 1000wrms, gold plated spade terminals, gold plated binding posts, acoustic felt, acoustic fill, sound deadening material which can include "Barrier Mat", Bitumen ["Dynamat" type] deadening sheets and not just a few here and a few there but whole sheets that cover the enclosure walls like a blanket.

Each cabinet is crossed braced where necessary and is glued together using "Gripfil " this is a very serious adhesive, then they are screwed together using s/steel 1.5" screws in an evenly divided pattern along each length.
