well in the beginning there was nothing, and then there was an explosion the universe was created and the zilog Z80 chip ... whoops wrong story ;) many years ago now when i first got on the internet, i discovered the newsgroups and in particular one about repairing electronic equipment. being as i had a few problems with a philips television set, i posted a request for schematic diagrams, a very kind person sent me some, it nearly killed my hotmail account but i was amazed by the generosity. i continued reading the group and someone asked for sinclair spectrum schematics, so being as i had them and a scanner, they got scanned in, pasted together, and then sent to the person, who thanked me. so i started searching the net for information about sinclair spectrum computers, and was amazed by the fan sites out there, this led me into the emulation scene. someone else asked for schematics so i decided to scan them all in, and make them available on a website (this being the fortunecity site). thats how it all started, my next project was html'ing the offical UK service manual from which the schematics came from, at that time fortunecity did not offer enough webspace to host the manual, that is why the geocities site exists. btw the tv set never made it
