with details of your fault, model etc and he might be able to
help you, his rates are very good :)
** note that Ian is based in the UK **
Please note that it has become necessary for Ian to introduce
a minimum charge for his repair service.
read the following for an explanation
*****
Due to circumstances, getting spares has become more costly.
Suppliers now want minimum order quantities which means I have to buy
more than I need at the time and have to outlay my own money to obtain the
components. I have been operating on a no profit basis and would like to
continue doing so but I must now impose a minimum charge of £10.
The £10 will include a return post service in it and the rest will go
into the pot to help buy the necessary parts in bulk.
If you are outside the United Kingdom, e.g. mainland Europe then whatever
the cost is extra on top for postage I will add it to the minimum fee.
All parts replaced during repair will be charged at cost
( what I had to pay to get them )and will be in addition to the minimum fee.
I am sorry about this price hike, but it is the only way to continue to
provide a repair service for the multitude of Spectrum Users who want to
carry on using their pride and joy.

John Buyers writes
'Just a short note to compliment Ian on the quality of his repair work on my
vintage spectrum.
I was impressed by his communication, speed and how carefully he took the
thing apart and put it back together !'
Jan Vos writes
'special thanks to Ian Worsley for repairing my spectrum +2
and so quickly a job well done'
Ian Gledhill writes
'I'd like to recommend him thoroughly!
He had my Spectrum fixed within hours of receiving it, and sent it straight back -
a three working-day turnaround time! He only charged me cost price too!
Definitely one of the good guys on the net!!'
Javier Herrera Flores (Spain) writes
'Two months ago my +2 and my +3 were faulty.
But one (nice) day I discovered this web site.
I could read lots of articles about spectrum hardware and
I thought: fantastic, I really like this!
And I could see that one person in the world, Ian Worsley, could fix my Spectrums.
Today I have both Spectrums and they are perfect.
In one word: great!
I'll never forget what this men did for me. Thanks Ian.'
Gordon Hosie writes
'I sent my +128 over to Ian Worsley to fix the keyboard problem I had. He
gave me regular updates on the problem, and options of what to do next.
When I decided what to go for, the extra part was fitted and the computer
was sent back in ultra-quick time. This was all done for no profit. I only
had to pay for the replacement membrane and postage.
Ian is thoroughly recommended, because the reason why he fixes Spectrums
is the same as the reason why you want them fixed: he's genuinely
interested in preserving the machines for the future.
For me, he is No 1 in this field.'
