We offer a first class tuning and technician service for both amateur and professional musicians alike, working at home school or in the concert hall, tuning all type of acoustic keyboard instruments from the everyday upright to the full size concert grand. We also service and tune the whole range of early keyboard instruments. Customers are always fully appraised of the condition of  their pianos before any work is undertaken.

An appraisal scheme is also offered for the customer wishing to know the extent of work needed prior to restoration/repair, or prior to a potential purchase.

The piano restoration workshops were established in 1985 offering repair work for both the piano trade and the private customer alike. Full overhauls of actions and keyboards can be undertaken, as well as restringing, soundboard and bridge repairs. We are happy to take on restoration of all makes and types of pianos, both upright and grand. All bass strings are manufactured in our own workshops, using top quality materials to highest standards

We provide a recovering service using a range of materials to suit the customers needs. Materials offered are :- White or off white plastic, imitation ivory or certified and approved ivory. We produce a finished product which looks good and is comfortable to play on.

All strings are made from the highest quality polished steel and copper wire (Roslau and Deegan). Both complete sets, and odd replacement strings are made to pattern. Strings can be rescaled, where necessary, by request. Great care is taken to produce strings that look and sound excellent. All special requirements can be undertaken.

Our case restoration/re-polishing department provides a full re-polishing and case repair service for all types of piano. The cost of this service is dependant on type and condition of piano and finish required. We are able to offer spray polishing to a gloss, satin or matt finish, or alternatively, the traditional French polish finish.

Pupils of all ages and abilities from the absolute beginner to diploma standards, are taught on an individual basis, lessons being tailored totally to each person’s individual needs. We are fully qualified to degree standard and all exam boards and syllabus are covered. We have over twenty years of teaching experience. Lessons are both enjoyable and educational.

Over the years we have been involved in the refurbishment and sale of all makes and types of piano. Because of our extensive workshop facilities we are able to maintain very high standards in restoration of instruments and take great pride in being able to produce an instrument specifically to the customers needs both musically and aesthetically.
