THANKS TO OUR MANY VISITORS THIS SITE IS COMMONLY REFERED TO AS
THE ELMSTED SITE

The prospect from near the site of Helchin House
The site of the house was upon the highest spot in Elmsted and holds commanding views over several valleys. It was once owned by the Dunkyns. It disappears from the records in the late 1700's. Local legend says that it was a Tudor mansion and burnt down.
