St. Hilda's, Sneaton

St. Hilda's Church is situated in Sneaton village which partially lies on the B1416, the road between Ruswarp and what is known as the Whitby/Scarborough road, the A171.

The following photographs were taken at Christmastime 1999 and are in temporary positions. They will be more logically placed within more explanatory text when time permits. The first was taken from the approach path on the South side of the church and the second was taken from the North side. The pen and ink drawing is from the front page of a booklet (which is available within the Church) which describes the history and background of Churches built at Sneaton from around 1100. This sketch is of the Church as it existed prior to 1826 when the present Church was built.

There are various services held at this Church. Click
