Fort Ilkard
I decided to go to Fort Ilkard first because I found it easier than
big hairy, scaly dragons and fire giants. Take the south road in Beorunna's Well
and continue going that way until you meet some non-hostiles.
This is going to get extremely boring because you will need to kill the generals
that are attacking the fort and/or the leader of the attackers to gain access
further. Once you're done go to a cave to the southeast to uncover some creator
race ruins.
Inside, loot the nearby corpse for an amulet. You will need it in order to understand
the folk that dwell here.
Just whatever you do, don't even think about fighting the golem in here. It's
"perfect" for now and is invincible. I tried fighting it the first time through
and found myself cornered and unable to get out. And boy, I was beaten.
Go to the garden instead and speak to the woman there. She will give you a Time
Crystal and will ask you to plant a tree of some sort. This is all weird and I
have no idea what this is all about. Creepy time travel… In order to get rid of
the golem you need to travel to the past when they were being built. Go to the
northwest and seek out the sun dial. Use the Time Crystal on the Sun Dial to travel
back through time when the lizards walked on two legs and humans were slaves.
I liked the past… The damnable lizards didn't know what they faced hehe.
In the creator ruins past, go to the northeast and speak to a guy named Lokar.
He is sort of "in charge" here. Well at least he's in charge of the human slaves.
Tell him your plan and get his ring. Now when you show it to the golem makers,
you will be able to persuade them and have them build the golems with a single
flaw. You can also search for a piece of paper about the three riddles. It will
give instructions on how to complete the puzzles.
And this is the favourite part. Go to the garden and see the young Morag. She
will boast herself and that made me quite angry. I wanted to kill her but unfortunately
she escapes and leaves you to fight some lizards.
A small note: each puzzle has its golem and golem maker. Speak to all of them
and select the golem weaknesses before returning to the present. Once you're done,
return to the present time.
And now to unlock the Three Doors of the Word of Power!!!
The first door: Riddle of Smoke. Get rid of the guardian golem and continue to
the riddle. The goal of the puzzle is to match the colours or something like that.
Just take red, blue and yellow colours from the alchemist's apparatus and put
them into the brazier as follows: (listing both colours) red and yellow, blue
and red, yellow and blue. This should be ok and the colours should disappear.
The second door: Riddle of Sound. Get rid of the golem and continue
to the riddle. Once you kill the Bodak take the bottle and release the
fairy/sprite/whatever. Follow her and repeat everything exactly as she
does and you should finish the riddle. If
(1) (3)
(2) (4) then the combination would look like this: 2, 1, 3, 4, 3, 1, 4,
2.
The third door: Riddle of Light. You must match the colours to complete the riddle.
Take the gems from the pool (purple, orange, green). Then if the colour of the
primary pool is for example green, the secondary pools must contain a green gem.
Once the three puzzles have been completed, go to the Word of Power door and fight
a Balor there. Once you defeat him, take the Word of Power.
