Reviews

From the live journal of Em Kanner

The bands. Yes. I haven't yet missed a single Vichy gig (although they've not done many), and I've never yet been disappointed. They are good. Go and see them. Expect cross dressing. Oh yeah, and they have the same drum machine as us as well.

The Feline Dream. Wow. I've never seen anything as amazing as that. Many bands have one piece of equipment that I'm insanely jealous of. I don't think they had *anything* that i *wasn't* insanely jealous of. I must take up keyboards so i can have a stage set up like that. My new Boss pedal which i haven't got yet but am buying will fit in nicely, with all its button and twisty knobs and all wonderful great things. I need to see them again though, they are my favourite band. For this week anyway.

Riviera. They were ok. preferred the other bands though.

From the live journal of Miss Frost

But last night! Y'all missed The Vichy Government, The Feline Dream and Riviera, and much dancing to random stuff.
You missed the chance to see Jamie going from a very quiet person to A VERY LOUD ONE, and a version of Young Girl that means i will never hear the original again without smiling.
You missed Feline1 pressing buttons with his chin, and carrying great boards of keyness on his head. And Feline2 going from Very Cool to Very Drunk. And Riviera dancing to their own song being played. Is that allowed like, to dance to your own song?
I had lots of fun. The inverse law showed itself to be a fule too as I'd looked forward to it for ages.

From the live journal of Johnny Valentine

Fanclub was fun, Vichy Goverment were, as always, good. For the last song Jamie sprinted backstage leaving a drum machine bit going. Sprints back a few mins later dressed up as one of Riviera. Hee-hee.
Feline Dream I've always been a bit undecided of, but last night they kicked bum and “rawked” out while getting increasing arsey with the largly apathic looking crowd. Which always gets bonus points in my book :P
And Riviera, who were alright.
And no Nick Rhodes. Grr.
