Reviews

‘Subjected the West End of Glasgow to a torrent of acoustic abuse that could only be likened to the sound of a theremin being brutally raped by a Vandergraaf machine.’ —Michael Harrison, soundman†
Here's some comments on the gig from The Flat at the Top of the Stairs weblog:

The Feline Dream … get the prize for “most artistic arrangement of cabling on stage”, although I did think their frontman was going to strangle himself with them at several points.

…and from the Rouss Says More Stuff weblog:

This is the second night in a row I've come home with my ears ringing
… The singer's hat was a gift from Genesis P.Orridge of Throbbing Gristle fame evidently and their music had passages of much promise of analogue synthesizer heaven and the occasional tremolo touch to the vocals hinting at a Berlin cabaret sound.
However, the overall execution was messy and frequently lapsed into an unpleasant din.

…and from Corner Soul weblog:

A band called Feline Dream played at the Winchester Club. Two guys with loads and loads of keyboards. Really really nice equipment, including a killer Rickenbacker Bass…all wasted. They were like Ladytron, only campy and dull. It was terrible. There weren't many people there… They're from Brighton. They bitched. A lot. About the venue, about everything. Forty people at a gig is NOT bad.

Louisa from Glasgow:

I had a really good time. It was such a shame about the crowd … people who go there wear like binbags and stuff because they're so pretentious. I was too scared to dance in case i got stared to death.
