Hello all.
Just wanted to introduce myself and see if anyone out there would be interested in getting involved in a short documentary I'm producing for Current TV about the swinging scene in Sheffield.
I realise that being identified on TV as a swinger isn't everyone's immediate priority (although it might be for some, I don't know! haha). Just bear in mind that anyone that WOULD like to be involved and get their opinions/attitudes across can be blurred out or we can just use voices or actor's voices or whatever method of providing anonymity is preferred.
The film will hopefully question many of the assumptions that people have about swinging and de-mystify it somewhat for a predominantly younger audience. The film is not intended as a trashy piece of titillation a la the average channel 5 doc - it'll hopefully be intelligent, informative and original.
It should also be a good laugh putting the film together and we're not interested in making anyone feel uncomfortable, unappreciated, morally dubious or anything like that.
The exact structure of the film is being worked out as we speak but I'm just putting the feelers out (so to speak) to see if any of you folks would be interested in:
a) recording a week long video diary as a couple or an individual
b) being interviewed on or off camera about your experiences
c) inviting us to a party/event
d) providing us with any advice on the subject and the scene in Sheffield without actually appearing in the film itself at all.
