March 2000

It has been noted that Dunn Line are also operating
the following ex-Stevensons vehicles from Uttoxeter;

A101EPA Leyland Tiger Plaxton 3200
GDZ795 Leyland Tiger Duple 320

I will keep details of Uttoxeter on this page for those
who are interested.


ARRIVA Midlands North new vehicles are confirmed as
the following;

Volvo B6LE, Wright Crusader II's

V209-21/3-39KDA

Fleet number are 2209-21/3-39.

2209-2220 are allocated to Tamworth operating on services
4 Tamworth - Silverlink, 7 - Tamworth - Stonydelph &
8 Tamworth - Hockley.

2221/3-38 are allocated to Wellington.

2239 is allocated to Shifnal.

The Tamworth allocation has seen 527-9 transfered to
Cannock with 526 remaining at Tamworth although 
unconfirmed.

  
Reports have been forwarded that suggest Abermule will
transfer to ARRIVA Cymru on 1/4/2000 at the same time
Winsford depot from ARRIVA North West will join 
ARRIVA Midlands North.

February 2000

The sale of Uttoxeter (Spath) depot has now taken place. This 
occured on 21st February 2000. The depot is now operate by 
Dunn-Line of Nottingham. The operational fleet has been upgraded as 
expected and a list of vehicles now operated from Uttoxeter is as 
follows;

January 2000

1312-5 P312-5FEA have all passed to Cannock following
the arrival of the remaining Volvo B6LE Wright Crusader 2's
to Tamworth. 1311 P311FEA remains at Tamworth for the time being.

1513 - A513HVT Leland Tiger Plaxton Paramount 3500 has been seen
operating in the Cannock area for an independant operator.


December 1999

M40MPS Dennis Dart has been reported operating in Crewe on service 
38 Crewe - Macclesfiled.

Service 24/5 Cannock - Pye Green has been upgraded from Mercedes 
709's to Low Floor vehicles, makes models to be confirmed.

Eight Volvo B6LE/Wright Cadet buses have entered service in Tamworth 
on services 4 Tamworth - Silverlink and 8 Tamworth - Hockley. they 
are registered V-VDA numbers will be confirmed soon. This has 
displaced the remaining three MPD darts from service 4 which I would 
like confirmation of new allocation.

Four ARRIVA Surrey & West Sussex Darts arrived in Crewe on October 
29th. They are G217/8LGK and G122/7RGT. 

Bristol LH trainer TV86 XPT686R has been withdrawn and replaced with 
4 614WEH a Volvo B58 Plaxton Paramount 3200 which has painted all 
blue.

Shrewsbury's ever changing fleet has been confirmed as follows;

7,10,142/7/52/6/61/2/4/5/7-70,256,406/7,421/6/8,451/2/63/64,698,
705/65/7,799,805,883,901/4/17/37/9/52,1108/9,1301-10/38-46,1401
-4,1722/30/5/7/42.


Oswestry is reported to have moved to it's new depot now and has 
aquired 1534/5 H274/9LEF a Tiger/Alexander from ARRIVA North East.


November 1999

It has been confirmed that Dunn Line has aquired the Spath coaching 
operation and will aquire all coaches and the trading name of 
Stvensons Coaches along with the premises which it will lease from 
ARRIVA Midlands North. Uttoxter area bus services have been 
transfered to Burton depot.

Unusual repaints include 904 TOF704S a National Mk1 at Shrewsbury.


October 1999

Lichfield Depot to close

Lichfield depot will be closing its doors for the last time on 
31 October 1999. Work, staff and vehicles have been reallocated to
Cannock, Stafford, Burton, Swadlincote and Tamworth. Lichfield depot
was aquired by Midland Red North in July 1996. The depot was 
previously operated by Badgerline susidary Frontline Buses. The site
at Freeford Bridge often housed vehicles in store by the Company
whilst awaiting refurbishment and many others awaiting disposal.
Midland Red have operated several depots in the City and all have 
met with the same fate after a few years. 

Spath depot (Uttoxter)

It has also been reported, although unconfirmed, that the Spath
coaching operation - Stevensons Coaches - and the depot have been 
sold to Dunn Line (Nottingham). More reports on this as details 
emerge.

Burslem depot

I have been unable to obtain exact details of vehicles included in 
the sale of the Burslem depot but I have details that confirm all of 
the following vehicles are now withdrawn some of which have passed to 
Crystal Coaches, Burslem;

114, 123, 125, 126, 129, 134/5, 158, 185-191, 221, 284/5, 301-306, 
309-313, 315/6/9/20/22/23/25-28, 349, 430, 580, 625, 763, 804, 872, 
876, 904, 1506, 1512, 1605, 1641, 1642 & 1645.

Because of the Burslem sale there are a number of reallocation this 
month. Details of the changes surrounding the Lichfield and Uttoxter 
depots will be reported as soon as possible.

looking especially for H/JHA-L / PHA-M / JOX-P / RDA-R / 
SOA-S / WOC-T / BVP-V / LOA-X etc. Leopards any 
condition considered. Any info contact Busman.

August 1999

430 F836BCW has been placed in store at Lichfield.
529 T539AOB has been allocated to Cannock.
541 G141GOL has been allocated to Tamworth.
705 TOF705S has been repainted in new livery.
763 BVP763V has been placed in store at Lichfield.
872 GMB372T has been placed in store at Lichfield.
1348 S348YOG has returned to service following accident damage.

Former Shrewsbury/Stafford Leyland National II, 813, BVP813V has been
aquired for preservation by a local group, along with 808, BVP808V
which has already been repainted into NBC/Chaserider livery.


Burslem depot

The Companys Burslem operation has changed hands. It is belived to
have passed Mathews Motors on August 1st 1999. Some vehicles have
also been re allocted and passed on with the depot. Details of
vehicle changes will follow soon. The former Burlsem operation is now
trading as Crystal Coaches - the name of the company that was
originally aquired by Stevenson of Uttoxeter in the Potteries area.
