About the Flowering Nose in Slugland

Introduction

This site is dedicated to what I consider to be one of the best free online games: The Flowering Nose in Slugland. If you like arcade-style puzzle games, this game is for you. Your task as the Flowering Nose is to locate the sprout in order to open the Great Door and plant your garden. In order to complete your task, you need to figure out where to use each item. You will encounter signs and friendly characters to help you on your way.

Instructions

In this game, you are the Flowering Nose.

You collect items from all over and explore different worlds, solve mysteries/puzzles and fight bad guys.

Your Goal:
Your ultimate goal in the game is to find the lost sprout:

As you will need this sprout to open the final gate:

That gate is located in the first level you enter which is the "Strawberry" level.

Two golden rules you need to remember while playing this game:
1- Every item you find can take you to a different level.
2- You may need to return to a single level more then once before going on to a new level.

GAME SCREEN:

AMMO:
Pick up flowers to throw at your enemies. The flower-counter in the lower left corner tells you how much ammo you have.

ITEMS:
Find many useful items throughout game. Some items can be traded or used.
> You can hold only one item at a time.

HEALTH:
Find Hearts to keep your health high. When the Health Bar goes to zero the Flowering Nose becomes food for worms.

TO MOVE:
Place the cursor where you want to move then [LEFT CLICK] and the Flowering Nose will automaticly move to that location.
To make him move in constant motion,
- click the mouse and drag and he will keep following your cursor.

TO THROW FLOWERS:
Place the cursor where you want to throw then [RIGHT CLICK]

COMMUNICATION:
Bump into signs and stationary people to interact with them. They will teach you how to adventure in Slugland.

IMPORTANT: Because this game is an adventure one, reading signs is essential in playing and understand what to do.

ITEMS:
TO PICK UP ITEM:
Bump into the item and the Nose will automatically grab it.
TO DROP ITEM:
Position the cursor on an adjecent square and press [SPACEBAR]
TO USE ITEM:
Position the cursor on an adjecent square and press the [ X ] Key

LIMITATIONS:
Items may only be USED or DROPPED onto an adject square.

TO TELEPORT TO NEW LEVELS:
Place any ITEM on the red X next to the Sunflower. A Teleport Square somewhere on the level will open up. Each ITEM takes you to a unique level.

TO SAVE GAME:
Find and Touch one of the many Red Flags.
