Egg and bacon breakfast burger

Serves : 4      Preparation time : 15-20 minutes    Cooking time : 5-10 minutes


Ingredients :

  • oil for frying
  • 4 thick bacon rashers, each cut into 4, rind removed
  • 4 eggs
  • 8 waffles
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • maple syrup, optional

Preparation and Cooking Instructions

  1. Heat a small amount of oil in frying pan. Fry bacon and eggs over medium heat until eggs are cooked through and bacon rashers are golden and crisp.
  2. While eggs and bacon are cooking, lightly toast the waffles on both sides. Place cheese slices on waffles and cook under preheated grill for 1-2 minutes or until cheese has melted. Place on individual serving plates.
  3. Place egg and bacon on each waffle. Drizzle maple syrup over, if desired. Top with remaining waffle and serve immediately. If preferred, drizzle with Worcestershire sauce.
