Mornay sauce

Serves : 3 cups


Ingredients :

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1¼ cups chicken broth
  • 1¼ cups half & half cream
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated

Preparation and Cooking Instructions

  1. Heat the butter in a saucepan. Add the flour and cook 2 minutes over low heat. Stir in the chicken broth and cream. Reduce heat and simmer until thickened. Stir in the cheese and simmer for 2 minutes more.
