Cooking Cajun Food - Broken Shrimp Jambalaya recipe

Ingredients :

  • 1½ lb broken shrimp (cooked)
  • 2 tspn paprika
  • 1 cup peanut oil
  • 1 x red, black, white pepper
  • 4 onions, chopped
  • salt
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • ¼ lb smoked sausage
  • 3 cups rice
  • 2 bunches shallots
  • 5 cup water
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped


Preparation and Cooking Instructions :

  1. Heat oil, add onions, garlic, shallots, bell pepper, smoked sausage, paprika, salt, and peppers and sauté well.
  2. Add shrimp pieces, rice and water. Bring to boil, cover, and over very low heat, steam for 20 to 25 minutes.
  3. Stir with fork and replace cover.
