Ingredients :

  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ tspn vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup semisweet chocolate mini chips
  • ¼ cup walnuts, chopped
  • sifted powdered sugar, for sprinkling on top of cooked muffins


Preparation and Cooking Instructions :

  1. Combine flour and ¼ cup sugar in a mixing bowl.
  2. Make a well in center and add egg, milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix in just until moistened.
  3. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
  4. Pour into greased and floured 1½" muffin pans, filling about 2/3 full.
  5. Bake at 400°F for 12-14 minutes until edges are lightly browned.
