Wattage Tangent

The Wattage Tangent looked a nice plane and I wanted something electric and not to expensive so I ordered one.
When I got the kit I wasn’t impressed with the building Technique used but Stuck to the Manuel which was very easy to
follow.
The kit contains fibreglass fuselage and depron foam wing and foam tail surfaces to join the wing it was suggested I use Epoxy
glue which was fine but make sure you don’t get any on the fuselage or the surface of the wing it won’t come of and it makes a mess of a lovely model. It took a day to build the Tangent and it was ready to fly this is the first time I have ever flown electric and I was very impressed the Tangent is a true pattern ship she will hold knife edge with full power needed she will perform all the manuvers I can do and more. In a calm day she is a joy to fly I had forgot about the building of the model she fly’s so well.
She will fly on half throttle easily the Tangent is very light and easy to hand lunch with the extra power it is quick to pull out of a sticky situation.
What a nice plane to fly.

3D Hype

Review Weston UK 3D Hype
The build was very easy and fast, the wing is ready joined for you, Rudder and elevator slotted in with ease and accuracy
I installed supplied milor hinges using thin canyo, the hinge slots were pre cut under the covering, the suggested method
for rudder and elevator is closed loop I opted for two seprate Hitec Hs-225MG Mini servos for the elevator just under the
leading edge .allowing me to use mixing gear at a later stage But it’s not needed, For rudder I stuck with the closed loop,
which to my surprise was easy to make with the supplied accessories.
About half way threw the first flight the under carriage fell of (due to loose bolts and vibration) My test pilot landed with
ease in the long rushes, so no damage. The second flight was better Test pilot handed me the controls It was very responsive
The Y.S engine had to be set up so the real flying for me anyway will be in my progress section go have a look. I watched
as my Test pilot Hung on the prop performed stall turns, four point rolls I could go on and on…. But basically this most exhalant
model is designed for 3D maneuvers but I found the Hype to be a lot better than just hanging on the prop, this
model was designed for any maneuver you can pull, off and It does it with such ease I only hope every model I fly is as good
as the Hype. THANKS Weston UK for a great aero plane. And to my Test pilot

Happy Fly

The Little happy fly cam around when I won one in a competition in one of the Magazines R/C Model World “Unfortunately
on
it’s 9th flight My instructor Crashed it” But when My Brother Said he wanted to start learning to fly And what plane
should
he get then I said the Happy Fly I gave him my Enya 25 For it and My old Futaba 6Y controls. He got the Kit from Steve Web
Models.
The Box was nicely made when opening it everything was properly packed so not to cause any damage when posted the kit comes with Fuselage Rudder Elevator wings Right Left side. Lovely Decals and a load of good quality Accessories This kit is great to put together I done it in few Hours ready to fly next day the Kit also comes with a steerable nose wheel which I am not
to fond of but this time it was fine and it all fitted together easily , the Wing was joined using Epoxy and the Engine holes
where drilled out to fit the engine so easy to assemble all the push rods where easy to make up using supplied materials I
put in all the servos then the receiver and Battery the Tank fitted in snugly . I did find the model on test flight to be
A bit Tail heavy I think because their was no room for the battery to sit under the fuel tank so I had to put it just behind
the tank instead

The First flights were fine I Tried out a test run to check that the Nose wheel was set up ok and it was so I taxied back
opened the throttle and of she went. The little plane only needed some trimming on the Ailerons and a bit of Down to compensate
for the Tail heavy ness I came Down for a few Low passes for the camera and then Landed.
After Putting Some lead in the nose the second flights where much better and I am happy to say that this little model will
put a smile on your face every time you fly it
The Happy Fly would make a good trainer For 25 to 30 size 2 stroke engines have a look at the pictures.
