Iron Fist eh?.Yep Motorhead by any other name.

The support act was a little known outfit that had just cut their first album.Not much happened to them after that they went onto obscurity I think.....what was their name?? Oh yeah Iron Maiden. I thought they were shit. Just as well I never became a record company A+R guy the things that I would've fucked up!

In the main photo there is a rocker sitting on the extreme left of the stage. When Motorhead came on I was sat there. There was lots of dry ice, the lights came up, Philthy Phil started bashing the drums to the opening of "Overkill", Lemmy stepped up to the mike that I could just about see through the dry ice struck the first chord....and that was the last thing I heard for three days apart from a lot of ringing!

LOUD??????? I dunno..... possibly! I took a couple of pix then scarpered to the back and wiped the blood off my neck.

I seem to remember spending the night after the gig hanging around Euston station til 5am coz some cunt took the 12:01 North off the schedule.
