Christmas 2003 Toy Run

Special thanks must go to all the Dumfries and Galloway Bikers who came and brought presents. And to the many others too numerous to mention who donated toys.

The toys are distributed via Children's Services offices (social work) in Dumfries, Kirkconnel & Castle Douglas.
All the toys go to children/families that are clients of the Children's Services Department.
The toys do make a difference. We are advised of one case where a mother (single) of 3 kids had nothing in for Xmas having just left husband following years of domestic violence & a spell in Women's Aid refuge - just been granted her own tenancy. All her cash had gone on house, not Xmas - as a direct result of our toy run her kids - 3, 4 & 7 all have pressie's/selection boxes to open instead of what she describes as literally nothing which the kids wouldn't understand .. so we do make a difference
