Coat: Thick full fur with a woolly undercoat, thick ruff around the neck, uneven coat length

Head: Triangular head, large almond shaped eyes, heavy whiskers, short wide straight nose, medium to large pointed heavily tufted ears, firm chin

Body: Large heavy well muscled body, broad chest, thick strong legs, medium length tail covered by thick fur, large round heavily tufted paws

Grooming: Occasional combing (except show cats), daily combing is required when the thick winter coat is being shed
